Common Questions From Festival-Goers

When does the festival Start?
Friday 11th September 2026 — Kid's Night, School of Rock & Trad session —  Gates open 6 pm!
Saturday 12th September 2026 —  Main Music Event — Gates open 5:30 pm!
What is the Main Music Event?
The Main Music Event takes place on Saturday 12th September 2026. Enjoy 10 live acts performing across two stages from 6 pm. Four Draught Bars, Cocktail Bar, Food Stalls and music!
Lineup and Stage times will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

What is Kid's Night?
Kid’s Night takes place on Friday 11th September from 6 pm to 9 pm and is dedicated to young festival-goers. The arena comes alive with games, entertainment, and plenty of treats. Expect face painting, School of Rock sessions, a UV disco, and lots more fun activities for all ages.

What is School of Rock?
School of Rock at Full Moon Rising Kilmeedy music festival is all about giving young musicians the chance to shine — no pressure, no competition, just music, fun, and experience.
The School of Rock showcase kicks off the Full Moon Rising weekend on Friday, 11th September 2026 at 6pm, and promises to be one of the most exciting nights of the festival.

How much do Tickets cost?
Tickets are available through our website - Click the yellow Tickets Button. Ticket Prices as follows:

  • Friday night Kid's Night — €25 per Family

  • Friday night Adult Music Event — 9pm FREE ENTRY! (Over 18's)

  • Saturday night Standard Event Ticket — €35 Access to all Stages (Over 18's)

  • Saturday night Premium Event Ticket — €50 Includes 3 Bar Tokens (Over 18's)

  • Weekend Camping Ticket — €50 Online only, purchased as an Add-on

Is the Full Moon Rising Festival An Over 18's event?
Yes. With the exception of our Kids' Family Fun Evening on Friday, 11 September, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm, Full Moon Rising Festival is strictly for adults aged 18 and over.
As part of our Challenge 25 policy, anyone who appears to be under the age of 25 may be asked to provide valid photographic ID to verify their age before being admitted or served alcohol.
Is there Security screening at the gate?
Yes. For the safety and enjoyment of everyone attending Full Moon Rising Festival 2026, all bags may be searched by our security team on entry. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide a safe and enjoyable event for all.
What Gate is Campervan Parking ?
Please use Gate 1 – Camper Parking for campervan access. (Nearest Gate to the Glen Bar)
When is Campervan Parking Open?

Ingress: From 1pm Friday until 4:30pm Saturday
Egress: By 12pm Sunday morning

Can I buy Tickets at the gate?
No, tickets for Full Moon Rising 2026 are sold out. Full Moon Rising Festival is a limited-capacity event. Tickets will not be available at the gate.
Is there Parking available at the festival?
Yes, limited parking is available in a designated grass field at the festival site. Additional parking can be found in Kilmeedy village, but please be mindful to park safely and avoid blocking driveways or local access routes. We appreciate your cooperation!.
Is there Bus Services available at the festival?
Yes, Paudie Kenneally Coaches will be in operation to ferry people to and from the event.

Is Camping available?
Yes — but only with advance online booking. A limited camping area is available in a designated grass field at the festival site.
Camping is available for festival attendees only, and with advance online booking. One Camper Add-on is required per vehicle. All adult campers are required to buy a festival ticket.

Are Caravans allowed?
Yes — Caravans are welcome. Both the caravan and towing vehicle must be parked together, as on-site traffic is restricted for safety.

How many Stages are there at Full Moon Rising?
There are Three stages at Full Moon Rising:

  • Main Stage

  • Shebeen Stage

  • Leen-To Stage

Is there a Bar at the event?
Yes. There are four Bars serving draught beer and a Cocktail Bar.
Beverages include:
Draught - Heineken, Coors, Guinness, Murphys, Orchard Thieves & Heineken 00
Cans - Heineken, Coors, Budweiser, Bulmers, West Coast Cooler Original & Rose
Spirits - All the usual + Pink Gin, Gin 00, Malibu, Jägermeister and Buzz Bombs
Minerals - Coca Cola, Fanta, Still Water
How much do Drinks cost at the event?
All Beverages are 1 Token except Cocktails are 2 Tokens, and Minerals are 2 for 1 Token.
All Beverages must be paid for with Tokens only.
Where do I get Tokens?
Tokens are available throughout the festival from the Token Hut.

Are there Food Stalls Food Stalls & What do they offer?
Yes, you'll find a great selection of food stalls offering delicious snacks, meals, and treats throughout the festival. Whether you're after something hearty, healthy, or sweet, there's something for everyone. Full details on food vendors will be announced soon — stay tuned!
Food court vendors Shannon Ices, Bunda Brothers, Sykes Pizza, SC Catering, and Horsebox Coffee at Full Moon Rising.
Root's Shop & Cafe are open 9 am to 5pm daily.
Is there a ATM cash machine at the event?
There is no ATM on site, but card payments are accepted at all Points of Sale, including for bar tokens and other services. If you do need cash, the nearest ATMs are located in Dromcollogher (9.8 km) and Newcastle West (16.4 km).
Is there a Lost Property system at the event?
Yes. Please contact a FMR festival steward or you can message us on our Facebook page.
Is there First Aid or medical services on site?
Yes. There is a full ambulace service on site.
When does the festival Finish?
The festival ends at 1.30am — Sunday 13th September 2026
